With over ten years of work experience in industrial automation, Baut offers a wide range of services for its potential and current clients. So far, we have satisfied clients in the automotive, process, metal, food and utility industries.
In order for you to become more familiar with the services we offer, we have selected some of the most important steps below, so let’s start in order.
Projecting and design of entire automation systems for the needs of industry, building industry or elsewhere.
The first step in any project is planning the automation system. Depending on whether it is a production line or a machine, all requirements placed on the system, cycle time, appearance of the final product (if it is a machine) are defined, etc. It is ideal, along with the layout, to create an FDS (Function description specification) document where all functionality, devices, speeds, actions, data exchange, etc. are described in detail.
We work exclusively with PLCs from the largest manufacturers: Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider
PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) is an industrial computer and the heart of every automation system. It manages all digital and analog signals, processes the program written by the programmer, then sets the output signals based on the input signals, takes care of the safety of the people in the working environment, and sends a bunch of information to the database that is displayed and used at the level above in MES, ERP, etc. systems, as part of Industry 4.0.
Baut provides programmed PLC services according to the client’s request, and most often we work with manufacturers Siemens, Allen-Bradley and Schneider.
A SCADA system is generally a necessary part of any major automation system
SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) is a visual part of an automation system that is responsible for monitoring, controlling and collecting data or information. It can be run on a regular computer or a specialized industrial computer for such needs. It is commonly used for system control in the process industry, while in the transportation industry it is more conceptualized for data collection and personnel alarming.
In this way, SCADA is a truly almighty tool, because it is possible to do almost everything with it, from data collection to data processing, report creation, system and operator control, alarming, detailed system diagnostics and much more.
Baut offers solutions for various types of systems, mainly for Siemens’ WinCC and Inductive Automation Ignition system, for which we are officially certified.
They are necessary for any close interaction with the part of the system it controls
HMI (Human Machine Interface) is a special type of visualization, which is much smaller in scope than SCADA systems. HMI is usually run on a special device of the same name, and there are different types from different manufacturers. It essentially serves for management, alarming and data collection for a certain part of the system in which it is physically located. So, for example, each machine has its own HMI, and the transport lines have several to cover the entire line. It is usually used for troubleshooting in production when it is necessary for the operator to operate the machine or the conveyor line in manual mode in order to eliminate the malfunction or stoppage as soon as possible.
So far, Baut has met a lot of HMI manufacturers, and most often they were devices from Siemens, Schneider and Allen-Bradley.
Save time and money, test your system virtually
We believe that the best practice is to test the entire system virtually before physical commissioning. In this way, all unforeseen errors (bugs) are eliminated much easier and faster, which significantly reduces the time of physical commissioning. In addition, the work of the future line and machine can be presented to the client, so if the client has a proposal to change the functionality, it can be done much faster and cheaper at this stage of the project than when the line is already ready for handover.
Commissioning services of existing or own automation systems in Croatia and abroad
Commissioning is one of the most important phases of an automation project. In this phase, engineers come to the client to enable the entire system to be trained and put into operation according to the FDS. First, the correctness of the electrical cabinet is tested, then the communication of the PLC with all the intended devices, then all the necessary signals are checked, all the devices in the system are parameterized, and finally the manual mode of operation. If everything is correct, automatic operation is gradually tested.
Baut currently operates in the territory of the Republic of Croatia and the European Union, and we are ready for other countries as well. That is why we offer our clients, in addition to the usual commissioning of their own projects, the following options:
The vast majority of newly installed lines experience the same problem, the so-called children's diseases
In order to be able to get the most out of the production line in which you have invested a lot of money, it probably needs optimization. In the case of newly installed lines, this is still called children’s diseases, mainly because not all system parameters have been properly adjusted in the line itself, and small errors often occur, due to which the line is not able to work at full capacity. Given our experience in various industries, we can help you solve these problems by having our expert team record the actual state of the production line, and then, with consultation and optimization of the program code and device parameters, reach the optimal state and maximum utilization of the production line.
Every system has its lifespan, including yours
System maintenance is something common in every automated plant. In order for your production line or machine to always be available and ready for use, it needs timely maintenance. If you are interested in these services, we can monitor the service life of certain equipment for you, clean the electrical cabinet from the usual dust that accumulates over time and can damage the expensive devices that are in it, we can create a maintenance plan, replace devices on time and on in this way, to maintain the production line without unnecessary downtime and loss of time due to untimely maintenance.
We will be happy to answer all your questions!
